We are a team of experienced pet sitters providing loving pet care in your home. Urban Pet Sitting is bonded and insured, serving Houston’s furry friends since 2002. We provide daily visits, dog walks, overnight stays and pet taxi to the vet or groomer. We provide pet care services primarily inside the Loop - visit our website to see our service areas. Services are provided 365 days a year, including all major holidays.

We give your precious pets the utmost care while considering any medical issues. Every member of our team has gone through an extensive background check. Our pet sitters will care for your pets as if they were our own...providing loving care when you can't be there.

You get a complimentary Meet & Greet at your home before the first visit occurs. This gives your pet sitter a chance to find out your pet's needs so you can travel or head to work with peace of mind. You will provide details for your pet's care in our online platform so needs can be easily updated as needed.

Dog Walks

$ 25.00 Per 30 minutes

Our pet sitter will visit your dog(s) to take a walk, refresh water, fill food bowl, play, and give treats. Each visit includes 1-2 dogs. For dogs needing to be walked separately or longer walks, we recommend a longer visit. If you are at an apartment property where key pick up is required, please choose that pricing package for booking. Complimentary Meet & Greet will be scheduled prior to the first visit.

Our pet sitter will visit your dog(s) to take a walk, refresh water, fill food bowl, play, and give treats. Each visit includes 1-2 dogs. Overnight Stay

Our pet sitter will sleep at your home so that your pet(s) can stay in their own environment. For dogs, the overnights include an evening walk and a morning walk. An Overnight stay is 10-12 hours. 1-2 pets included. How did you hone your craft?

Our founder Meredith De Olavarria was a frequent traveler and faced challenges to accommodate her then 13-year-old miniature schnauzer, Leslie. Kennels weren’t an option because Leslie's medical issues. As she grew older, she needed more care and attention in her own familiar environment. Back then, there weren’t any formal pet sitting companies around Houston. Meredith depended on friends and family which became a burden for them over time. She founded Urban Pet Sitting to help Houston pet owners travel or go to work without worries. Most of our pet sitting team members have pets at home of their own, have rescued countless animals and truly love animals of all kinds. All pet sitters go through a thorough background check. You and your pet will meet your pet sitter in person before visits begin.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Stick with a routine-they crave it like small children! Before our pet sitters are in your home, you will be providing us with details, even the tiny ones, so that we can maintain your routine as much as possible while you are away from your precious pets.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

We only hire pet sitters we would have in our own home, and they truly care about your pets as if they were their own. We often say we wouldn't hire pet sitters unless they are someone we'd have in our own homes!
