Hi! I'm Tricia Casper and I have been training dogs since 2006. My animal career began in 1999 and includes zookeeping, dog daycare, animal safety on film/TV sets, dog walking, pet sitting, shelter work, dog training, dog behavior modification, and dog media. I have been training dogs since 2006 and have had the pleasure of working with many types of dogs and dog breeds.

I offer online dog training everywhere and in-home dog training in and around Warren County, St. Charles County, and St. Louis County, MO. I am CPDT-KA certified, Fear Free certified, and a member of the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers.

After dog training sessions, all clients will receive handouts on what we went over. Online clients also have the option of recorded Zoom or Petworks video sessions.

For those looking for a FREE dog training session, there is an option to discuss your dog issue with me as a guest on my weekly Dog Q&A show that I livestream to Facebook and upload to my YouTube channel.

Recommended Certifications for Dog Trainers

When choosing a dog trainer, professional certifications are a strong indicator of expertise, experience, and commitment to ethical, science-based methods. Widely recognized credentials include the CPDT-KA or CPDT-KSA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which demonstrate mastery of modern training techniques, canine behavior, and learning theory. The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. Many trainers also pursue specialty certifications in areas such as aggression management, behavior modification, or puppy development to address specific challenges.

For pet parents, choosing a certified trainer like Tricia Casper, ensures that your dog’s training is grounded in science, safety, and compassion. Asking about a trainer’s credentials is one of the best ways to make a confident, informed choice.
