The Empowered Companion - Animal Reiki and More - Englewood, CO

The Empowered Companion supports, enhances, and celebrates the human-animal bond through informed care, evidence-based training and behavior support, subtle energy healing modalities, and pet guardian education. We provide compassionate, heart-led services including Animal Reiki Mediation, Feline Training, Companion Animal End of Life Doula services, Energy Healing, and Compassionate Pet Sitting. We believe that life's path is most joyfully walked as a loving and respectful companion to the animals in our lives. We strive to provide gentle, effective care and to empower animal companions through education and ongoing support for all life stages.

Animal Reiki:

Reiki is a Japanese word that that translates into "spiritual" or "life force" (rei) "energy" (ki). Animal reiki is an empathic, meditation-based healing modality that balances the flow of life force energy to support your companion’s behavioral, emotional, and physical needs, while holding space for you during times of pain, frustration, confusion, grief, and joy. The intention is to create a gentle space of gratitude, compassion, forgiveness, mercy, and peace in which you and your beloved animal companion can thrive, while empowering you to support your unique bond from a place of energetic connection!

Animal reiki brings peace and ease to anxious and fearful pets, helps recovering animals find confidence and release, and supports senior animals living with age related dis-ease, from arthritic inflammation through terminal illness. Energetic healing, such as Reiki, allows your pet to take a break from the mental trappings of fear, confusion, worry, and discomfort to assist their physical, mental , and emotional healing from a space of balance and harmony. Once the body and mind relax and move beyond a state of internal war, support and healing can begin from a place of peace. Additionally, when you participate as your animal's companion in healing, you too can experience ease and release.

I am trained in the Let Animal Leads method of Animal Reiki with additional training in Companion Animal End of Life Doula services. My energetic healing practice is highly meditative and draws on the innate connectivity of all energy and all energetic beings. During a reiki session, your pet (and you) will be connected to the healing universal energy that corrects all imbalances, known and unknown. This innate connection exists within us all, regardless of species, and creates the space for healing, whether in person or from a distance, as the practice does not require touch or proximity.

How did you hone your craft?

I began my Animal Reiki journey working with myself and other humans in 2019. After volunteering and then working in an animal shelter, I felt called to bring the harmony, peace, and balance of reiki to animals, and to their companions and caregivers. After obtaining certification in the Let Animals Lead Method of Animal Reiki, I spent eight months providing animal reiki on a volunteer basis to pet sitting clients and the animals of friends and family. After having completed over 100 animal reiki meditation sessions, I felt confident that I could handle a variety of situations and truly understand the impact of my presence on animals and their companions.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Animals are so entuned to the energy we bring home to them. Approach the animals in your home with love and compassion. Take solace in their absolute perfection as beings who live in unconditional love, no matter the situation you are facing.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
