Julie Bond earned a Bachelor's Degree in Biological Psychology and a Master's Degree in Animal Behavior from the University of California at Davis. In 1991, she founded her own behavior consulting service because she saw a need for an animal care professional who focuses on the psychological well-being of companion animals. She treats a wide variety of behavior problems across species including, but not limited to, aggression, separation anxiety, phobias, fears, obsessive compulsive disorder, multi-pet households, etc.
A prolific writer, Julie has written on a variety of behavior topics in online and print media, as well as well-respected research journals. She has also been actively involved in pet assisted therapy work for over 20 years, training human volunteers and evaluating their pets for therapy work in hospice, hospitals, nursing homes, schools, etc.
Julie Bond is a board member of the National Association of Animal Behaviorists (NAAB).

It's important to find the right practitioner for the problem you are having. Training problems require a good trainer, medical issues should be directed to your veterinarian, and behavior problems should come to a certified animal behaviorist.
