I first worked in property management and then outside sales while volunteering at a non-profit therapeutic horseback riding ranch on the weekends until I understood that, in order to live what I love, I needed to work with animals full-time and became a dog walker. After walking hundreds of different dogs, I saw the need for training and wanted to help dogs and their humans live their lives to their fullest and decided to become a dog trainer. I'd already studied Psychology at SDSU which gave me a great foundational knowledge while I apprenticed at Pack Method Prep. After a year of apprenticing, I successfully completed the pre-requisites and testing to become certified with the Council of Professional Dog Trainers.
