Canine Corner Pet Groomer - Colorado Springs, CO

Member since Jan 2020

Professional Pet styling and grooming, both spoiled rotten dogs and cats. I am home-based ( City permitted, State licensed by PACFA), am a National Certified Master Groomer (NCMG), and work by appointment only. I want to partner with the human and their pet to care for all cosmetic, hygenic, breed-specific needs in a caring, passionate and knowledgable fashion. Unfortunately, I am no longer accepting new clients heavier than 50 pounds.

Note, it is a fact that dogs that are groomed on a regular schedule of 3-8 weeks (depending on breed and coat) become accustomed to the routine, are calmer, less anxious, and less likely for an accident or situation to occur. Frequency!

I chose this profession (1980) and enjoy what I get to do. It is a known fact that working with live, breathing, loved fur babies can be stressful and physically demanding. Safety FIRST! In Wendy's World, I work by appointment only and do not overbook, yet, can run behind with the demands of the job, easily. I am the only one to answer the phone, deal with the humans, book the next appointments, etc. As you see I have an answering machine for a reason as I have special dogs and cats waiting for me. I usually work a 4 day week (T-F) and begin at 7:30 AM, close as soon as my workload has gone home. Closing times vary as to the daily workload/schedules. This facility is not a doggie daycare and there is no co-mingling. Yes, every dog has a fresh bowl of water during their visit plus potty breaks if here more than 4 hours is always a goal.

Quick turn around? That can be pre-arranged with an additional fee. "Can I squeeze one more in today?" If I can, I will, and yet if I need to stay late an overtime charge will apply. I prefer cash, will accept checks plus all debit/credit cards. Please note, tips are not expected but greatly appreciated if applicable, and split.

Do note that like good food and fine wine, my grooming takes time. This profession for me is not about how many animals I style/work on in a day but that how well each animal was cared for to obtain what the pet owner wants.
