Private Canine Behavior Solutions and Dog Obedience - Guston, KY
Canine Behavior Solutions and Obedience brings more than 20 years of top-notch dog training experience to Louisville, KY. As owner of Violet’s Service Dog Training from 2014-2017 and Lytle Grooming and Training before that, Jodi Lytle has always had an unmatched love and passion for dogs. It was only natural that she decided to offer her skills to “problem” dogs and their owners!
While working with your dog, we will do much more than teach him a few tricks. We only use positive, force free training. That means we work hard to understand why your dog is acting a certain way so that we can encourage him to behave differently. This has several benefits:
Positive training builds a dog’s confidence and will not lead to fear aversion
Positive training looks for the root of the problem rather than blaming the animal
Positive training treats dogs the way they think and behave instead of like furry humans
14 days of boarding and training with one 3 hour transfer session and 4 follow sessions for trouble shooting any remaining issues and transferring training to the owner. Designed for issues like anxiety, fear, aggression, and reactivity. Please contact and book my dog obedience training services on Petworks. Thank You.

Recommended Certifications for Dog Trainers
When choosing a dog trainer, professional certifications are a strong indicator of expertise, experience, and commitment to ethical, science-based methods. Widely recognized credentials include the CPDT-KA or CPDT-KSA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which demonstrate mastery of modern training techniques, canine behavior, and learning theory. The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. Many trainers also pursue specialty certifications in areas such as aggression management, behavior modification, or puppy development to address specific challenges.
For pet parents, choosing a certified trainer like Jodi Lytle, ensures that your dog’s training is grounded in science, safety, and compassion. Asking about a trainer’s credentials is one of the best ways to make a confident, informed choice.
