Deborah Rightmyer

I met Debby when I began volunteering at a high volume animal shelter with the goal of working with the more challenging dogs that needed training and enrichment the most. For over 5 years I worked with her and found her to have an innate understanding of any dog's behavior, and how to best handle that dog because of their personal behavior traits. Her priority was always what was best for each dog. I was truly fortunate to have Debby as a mentor, and the dogs she works with are fortunate to have an understanding and caring trainer. I wholeheartedly recommend Debby to anyone that needs help with their dog, or wants to learn more about behavior and training.

Debby has a unique combination of understanding what dogs need and how to communicate those needs to the owner. I met her when I adopted Brittney from North Shore, where Debby had been working closely with her for 3 years after she was placed there as a puppy. The transition from the shelter in Westhampton to my apartment in Manhattan brought many challenges for both Brittney and I. Through it all, Debby was always available with her insightful expertise and encouragement. I am happy to say that Brittney is now thriving, and can honestly say that we wouldn't have gotten here without Debby.
