Heather Brass

Yesterday we said our goodbyes to our beautiful Maggie. She was our best girl for 13 years. Dr. Brass arrived at our home and immediately greeted Maggie. She sat on the floor with her and spoke with us about what to expect for the euthanasia process. She was caring and compassionate throughout the process. After Maggie had passed she gave us time privately to say goodbye and to grieve as a family. She came back into our home and hugged us all and told us how mighty Maggie was in her final moments. It was so much easier with her to be able to come to our home and let our girl be at peace where she lived and enjoyed life with us. Dr. Brass was so helpful in our moment of grief. We appreciate her and her commitment to families and their animals.

I can't imagine saying goodbye any other way with our beloved Reagan. Heather was patient, kind and compassionate. It made a very difficult decision and process almost tolerable. Highly recommend Dr. Heather. Thank you!

I would highly recommend Dr. Heather Brass to absolutely anyone having to go through the heart breaking experience of losing their best friend. I just lost my little girl of 17 and a half years and wanted her to be at peace in her final moments as she was my whole world for so many years. I was unsure whether I wanted to do it at the vets office (where she was always stressed, but loved her doc) or have someone come to the house (where she was comfortable and had her fur brother there with her). I am so thankful I decided to do it in our home with the 3 of us and Dr. Brass. I'll be honest, I was dreading her arrival because I knew it would mean my girl would be gone forever, but she made the hardest day of my life as painless as it could have been. She was so professional, calm, kind and very patient. She told me to load her up with treats until she fell asleep so her last moments were filled with what she loved most: getting lots of love and lots of treats. I am so thankful for Dr. Heather as well as Good Shepherd Cremation as they went above and beyond after when Dr. Heather brought my baby's ashes to me with so many lovely and thoughtful extras; it made the two hardest days of my life much more bearable.
