This course provides an introductory overview of how to provide initial emergency first aid and perform triage on cattle, small ruminants, and swine until veterinary care can be ascertained. The curriculum also teaches how to maintain proper herd management utilized in both companion and food animal husbandry environments. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) disaster plan curriculum for livestock will also be discussed.

Every course offered by Pet Emergency Academy contains a curriculum that is carefully designed by veterinary and animal professionals for the best educational experience. Courses are On-Demand which means they are made up of various content items such as tutorial videos, class recordings, and presentations that each participant can proceed through at their own speed. Instead of a participant having to join and review material at a specific time, they can go through the course content when it is convenient for them.
