How did you hone your craft?

After starting in the realm of science and veterinary technician skills, the natural next step was working with rescued animals needing medical care. Many of these animals also needed patience and behavioral help to find their furever after. I am always seeking continuing education and peer discussions along with working behavioral cases to achieve the mastery of skills today. I continue this education through a minimum of two hours of continuing education events each month.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Two main tips for pet parents: 1. Take a breath, a nice, deep and calm yoga breath. This not only helps our brain calm, our pet's will begin to calm too! 2. If adopting or bringing home a new dog, first read the short (and affordable) book "Love Has No Age Limit" to avoid common mistakes. This is a MUST read even if you have fostered, adopted or brought home a new dog before!

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

I am one of the few rabbit behavior specialists in the area. I have worked with aggression rehab in everything from dogs and rabbits to alpacas and llamas. My aggressive rehab alpaca as a teenager worked with me to become statewide and east coast agility champions!
