Stan's Photo is a Chicago pet portrait studio finding inspiration in a dog's wild spirit, unique personality and soulful gaze, Located in the neighborhood of Andersonville, photographer Lesley Ames is known for her project, The Dogs of Andersonville, telling the story of the social beings that connect us as humans and neighbors, making it one of the friendliest in the world.
My grandfather was the one who introduced me to photography. I would often find him in the darkroom upon arriving at his home. Soon, my father had a camera, then my sister and me. We were a Canon family collecting memories on film. Later, despite personal debates about brands, I broke away, bought a Nikon and began to travel. I have visited nearly 40 countries and 29 US states, along with multiple cities, innumerable prairies, preserves and wild open nature spaces. Photography is a part of me wherever I go. At Stan's Photo, I capture soulful moments of your dog or pet that you can frame and keep. From portraits in the home, studio, or outdoors, I guarantee photos that make you smile. My home base is Andersonville, serving nearby Chicago neighborhoods.
