Hello Pet Parents,
My name is Rachel, and I am the owner of Rachel’s Pet Care. I offer a variety of services including Puppy Training, Daily Pet Drop-ins, and Pet Sitting Drop-ins. With years of experience and a genuine love for animals, I ensure your pets receive the best care possible.

Pet training starts with the Human!

I also offer a discount for those who rescue or adopt from shelters. I just need proper paperwork from the adoption, to provide a discount of 30 % off any of the teaching/ training.
I do know the importance of helping shelter dogs or rescue dogs transition into their new environment with ease, grace, and compassion. It’s not about pet training, it’s about giving the dog time and space to explore and become comfortable with the new surroundings. We don't know their history; so It is also important to take training at a slower pace.

If you’re not excited to put in all the required work that goes into potty training a puppy. The sleepless nights, plus the time that goes into training a puppy, then don't get a puppy! I have been training puppies for 5 years now, and have trained my own two dogs at 2-months old.
As your dog trainer, I will work with your pup starting at age 2- months old to 6 months old in your home. The bonding starts as soon as you bring that puppy or dog home. The most precious time is the bonding time with your puppy or dog. It’s important to remember that not only do puppies or dogs need training. Humans also need training.
Also part of my teaching is to train your puppy or dog in their new environment. This will establish the ability for you the pet owner to become a strong leader in your home. Dogs need strong leadership, to help support the puppy’s development process in knowing their boundaries and limitations in their new environment.
It’s different for shelters and rescue dogs or puppies. They need more time to transition to their new surroundings. I advise these dogs to have a period to decompress before any training/ teaching sessions start. Some dogs/ or pups might take longer than others.
I do help transition the pup or dog through some healing exercises.

As a trainer you will go through a few challenges with your puppy, this stage is” called” the “Adolescence stage ” (6 – 18 months) This can be the most difficult time during a puppy's development. This stage is the most challenging for all pet owners. I help support you through this difficult stage of puppyhood.
The first step is to help the puppy learn basic visual cues. Since animals communicate with their body language. This is how we will help the puppy learn before using verbal cues. This means the first 1-2 months are in the safety of the home before heading out to the outside world, and we might take some exercises in your backyard. Just because puppies are very valuable. This is a new environment. If you want to take your puppy out. I would keep them in a cart at the pet stores.
The importance of puppy or dog training/ teaching is consistency. They learn with repetition. As your trainer. I know your time is valuable, and can be limited at times. Life is busy. I am willing to provide one or two private sessions per week with you, and your pup or dog. The sessions will last 30-45 minutes. Since training/ teaching should be done daily 10-15 minutes. I know this might be difficult to do if you work outside your home. I am willing to come into your home during your time away to train/ teach your puppy those daily teachings This will give the puppy potty training, time, and learning cues through visual cues; so you don’t have to worry. If you work from home, and you have time to train your puppy for 10-15 minutes, that would be awesome! However, I am willing to come over and take your puppy in the backyard to train for 10-15 minutes daily if needed. This training will last 1-2 months this is included in the cost.

. In addition, you will get 6 months of hybrid/ private training. I will take your dog outside your home. The training will be based on your lifestyle. However, I don't do dog parks, if you like dog parks you are on your own with your dog. The training Outings will be at pet-friendly cafe shops, etc, and contact your vet for additional training; so your dog can become comfortable around your vet. It’s a lifestyle you have outside of your home.
In addition, you will receive one monthly Zoom chat or phone call to go over any questions that you might have. My job is not just about training your puppy. It’s my job to make sure the human and dog understand each other. I want you the owner to be confident in yourself to be your pup’s leader, to have the ability to be your pup’s long-term companion.

Please contact and book me on Petworks. Thank you.
