Pet Photographer Richie Schwartz, a former Veterinary Technician, Groomer and Dog Trainer is the founder of Pets Photography Studio in NY. In 40 years as a professional photographer he has photographed over 100,000 pets across 33 states and is often referred to as "America's Most Experienced Pet Photographer".
Richie was named one of The Top 25 Pet People of 2010 along with Oprah Winfrey, Ellen Degeneres and Betty White for their charity work on behalf of animals. (NBC Universal). He was voted BEST Pet Photographer on Long Island EIGHT times since 2013. (Long Island Press). In 2017 Richie became the first person to receive the Professional Pet Photographer Award from Society Paws in New York City.
In February 2018 he was named Pet Photographer of the Year at The New York Pet Fashion Show.
Richie regularly volunteers his time and services to raise funds and awareness for animal rescue shelters and pet welfare organizations. He is also an educator and mentor and teaches the Business of Pet Photography to other photographers around the world.
