More than just a ride - Somerville, TN
I have worked professionally with animals since 2014, with more than a decade of hands-on experience in animal care, behavior, training, handling, welfare, and transportation. While my professional specialty is canine behavior and training, my experience and comfort with animals extends well beyond dogs.
Crossroads Companion Transport provides transportation for companion and exotic animals, excluding livestock. That can mean an eight-week-old puppy traveling to their new home, a cat relocating with their family, a chinchilla requiring careful environmental management, or a Western hognose snake whose temperature, containment, and handling needs look entirely different from those of a traditional companion animal.
I understand that safe animal transportation is not one-size-fits-all. Species, age, size, temperament, health, environmental requirements, containment, travel duration, and individual history all influence how an animal should be transported and cared for along the way. I take those differences seriously and prepare each transport around the animal in my care.
My experience includes puppies and kittens, adult and senior animals, large and giant-breed dogs, service dogs, animals with behavioral or handling considerations, and a variety of small companion and exotic species. I am comfortable adapting transportation and handling protocols to the needs of the individual animal rather than expecting the animal to adapt to a standardized transport process.
Some journeys celebrate a beginning. Others are a move, a reunion, a veterinary need, or simply getting a companion safely from one place to another. And sometimes, the journey is the final one across the Rainbow Bridge.
Regardless of the reason for transport, every animal in my care is treated as an individual whose safety, welfare, and dignity matter from pickup through their final destination.
