TRAINING
I trained my first dog in 1975, and have been training dogs ever since. That is 47 years
There is NO substitute for 47 years of experience. I train all breeds. I use both voice commands and hand signals.
I offer 3 different training programs to meet your needs.
* 1 week extensive boot camp here at my house. $1200
* 2 week extensive boot camp here at my house. $2000
* 1 hour house call at your house $150

I only work with 1 dog at a time, so they get my 100% full attention. I teach basic dog obedience. My goal is to return a well behaved, well mannered, loving family member.
At the end of the boot camp, your dog will have learned all of the following.
* "SIT" on command
* "LAY DOWN" on command
* "STAY" (until you release them)
* "COME" when you call them
* "PLACE" ( go to their bed, blanket, etc
* "HEEL" (walk right by your side without pulling on the lead)
* NOT toCRASH the DOOR (not to crash the door. sit at the door until you release them to the walkthrough)
* Not to CRASH the FOOD ( not to crash the food bowl. Sit in front of the bowl until you release them to eat)
* Address any bad habits your dog has picked up along the way, (jumping, barking, counter surfing, etc)

BOARDING. ( Only $50 a night)
We treat our boarders like part of the family.
Your dog is NOT kept in a 4x6 room with 2 walks a day, like most borders.
They have a big fenced in yard and my 2 labs to play with all day.
In the evening (or bad weather) we bring them in with us as part of the family.

Please contact and book us on Petworks. Thank You!

Recommended Certifications for Dog Trainers

When choosing a dog trainer, professional certifications are a strong indicator of expertise, experience, and commitment to ethical, science-based methods. Widely recognized credentials include the CPDT-KA or CPDT-KSA from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, which demonstrate mastery of modern training techniques, canine behavior, and learning theory. The KPA-CTP (Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner) highlights trainers skilled in positive reinforcement and clicker training, while the IAABC Certified Dog Trainer credential, recognized internationally, signals advanced knowledge in behavior modification and problem-solving. Membership or certification through the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) further reflects ongoing education and adherence to ethical standards. Many trainers also pursue specialty certifications in areas such as aggression management, behavior modification, or puppy development to address specific challenges.

For pet parents, choosing a certified trainer like Bo Lowe, ensures that your dog’s training is grounded in science, safety, and compassion. Asking about a trainer’s credentials is one of the best ways to make a confident, informed choice.
