How did you hone your craft?
I honed my craft through a combination of hands-on experience, continuous learning, and mentorship. I spent countless hours not just practicing, but analyzing what worked, what didn’t, and why. I’ve taken the time to study others at the top of their field, adapt techniques, and stay current with industry trends. But most importantly, I stayed committed to showing up every day with discipline, curiosity, and the mindset that there’s always room to improve.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Consistency is everything. One of the biggest things I’ve learned as a professional is that dogs thrive on routine, clear communication, and follow-through. If you ask for a behavior, be ready to reinforce it every time—whether you’re training a basic command or managing behavior in real life. Mixed signals create confusion, but consistency builds confidence, trust, and results. Don’t worry about being perfect—just be consistent.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I treat every dog like they’re part of my own pack. Whether we’re working on obedience or just building trust, I’m fully invested in their growth—and yours as their handler. Training with me isn’t just about commands; it’s about creating a real connection that makes life better for both ends of the leash. Big dogs, small dogs—I meet every pup where they are and help them become their best selves.

Customer Reviews
My dog and I are so in love with Big n Small Paw’s newest groomer! I’ve been taking my dog to Rebekah (groomer) for over 2 years now! When she made the switch to Big n Small, I knew we had to follow her. She’s the only groomer that’s been able to make my dog comfortable enough to be groomer regularly. Rebekah has always been so nice and respectful to her clients and their pups! She sends me pictures of how my dog is doing during her appt too. It’s been refreshing taking my dog to someone who clearly loves and is so knowledgeable about dogs. I couldn’t recommend her more! - Indianapolis, IN - August 2025
- Taylor SAlthough Louie isn’t our first dog, he is the first German Shepherd, so we wanted to make sure he got a solid training foundation as he will grow to be more than double the size of our other dog. Jerry didn’t just train Louie, but us too! He showed us how to continue this at home and make sure Louie stays “fluent” as he would say. We left every training session more confident each time that Louie was getting the best training, but more importantly the best love and care from all the workers. We highly recommend and will sure be coming back for more! - Indianapolis, IN
- Maria MMy Husband and I was searching for a place to bring My German Rottweiler to train to be a Service Dog for me. I had called around to a lot of places I had check everyone's reviews then My Husband had gotten ahold of Big N' Small Paws 317 and talked with Jerry about our dog Brutus to be trained as a service dog. He explained everything that they do and for how long it will take. My Husband and I was really pleased on the conservation we had. We had set a date to meet Jerry & Jaydan . Wow oh Wow the hospitality we received and the love they showed for Brutus was spectacular. It had brought tears to my eyes to see the love that Brutus had shown them. Now Brutus is being trained by Big N' Small Paws 317. Brutus is doing so good. If anyone is looking for a place for training, doggie day care for a day, or if you need a place while you go on vacation for your precious dog I would highly recommend Big N' Small Paws 317. Also if you need a grooming for your precious fur baby they are awesome. Very clean place, they carry dog food & etc. Please call them You will not be disappointed. - Indianapolis, Indiana
