Dr Matt Parker Holistic Functional Veterinarian - Nationwide
Dr. Matt Parker is a Holistic Functional Veterinarian who addresses Pet Nutrition as the core foundation of Health & Healing. But it is not the typical 'Nutritionist' approach.
Unlike most Nutritionists, Dr. Parker does not provide specific tailored recipes nor does he subscribe to the artificial AAFCO (simply a control-arm of Big Kibble) guidelines. Instead he provides an understanding of how the immune system and gut work and how they are integrated and inseparable from the whole body.
He raises awareness of how foods are adulterated and produced in Modern Society, and he educates pet parents about how our pets would eat if they were left to fend for themselves in nature. He offers guidance on Whole Foods & Herbal supplements to help heal the gut & immune system, and a variety of nutrition options with the goal of getting your pet back to a natural & healing Prey-Model diet.
Dr. Matt Parker offers Phone Consultations nationwide on all aspects of Veterinary Care, whether your approach is Holistic or not so Holistic. He can offer explanation of pet disease processes from both a Conventional or Holistic perspective to help you better understand your pets health condition, in addition to discussing all other health topics including vaccines and other unnecessary Vet Industry practices.

How did you hone your craft?
I practiced as a regular conventional Western Veterinarian for 6 years before finally 'going Holistic'. I hone my craft by learning from those who came before me, and by observing how the world works and trying to emulate nature. It becomes much easier once you realize that everything you were taught by Western Medicine and Modern Industrial Society is the exact opposite of true health & wellness.

Customer Reviews
We want to give a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Matt Parker. We will be celebrating Chicci's 14th birthday tonight, with an organic steak and a not so organic (vanilla) cupcake. She had her first vestibular disorder event in March and 2 more followed. We opted for a holistic approach following the 2nd event, and we couldn't be more pleased. I think it would be safe to say that the approach we took and the talent and caring we found in Dr. Parker likely added time to her life. Had we gone to the ER vet after the 2nd time, I do not think she'd be sleeping under my desk right now. It has not been easy, but it's been worth it. The ER vet likely would have shortened her life and cost $000s. Following our gut instinct seems to have worked! Feeling blessed...on many levels. I wish I could bottle up my gratitude and share it!
- Susan RExcellent veterinarian. Was wonderful with my Maxwell and Presley. He looked at the whole picture, home life, etc. it was a wonderful experience. 5 stars!
- June CDr. Parker has been incredible, counseling me regarding my 3 year old Labrador (Gunnar) who has kidney issues. He's exceptionally responsive and caring. And of course I love the natural approach he takes to my dog's care. I'm very grateful for finding Dr. Parker and having him on the team. Highly recommend him. - Davie, FL
- Samantha FMatt truly cares and listens, he saved my dogs life after a back injury left her completely immobile waist down. That was years ago... and she runs out my back door every morning chasing squirrels, and I am grateful. I adopted an old dog he checked over the dog had suffered its lifetime allergic to wheat with ear infections, changed her diet.... her whole life her ears hurt and a change in diet fixed her ears....
- Shannon CDr. Parker healed my 11 year old dachshund last year when he lost control of his hind legs. We now see him for occasional maintenance visits and we never hesitate to call or email if we have a question or concern. He always responds quickly and with compassion. I regularly recommend him to anyone I know who has a pet who could benefit from a little extra care. - Cloverdale, VA
