How did you hone your craft?

I began competing with my first GSD in 2007 but was not a fan of the training methods that were being used by the local dog clubs. I began researching and educating myself about more humane and positive techniques. I find dog behavior fascinating and looked for opportunities to improve my knowledge and gain certifications in order to help myself and others to better understand these wonderful canines who share our lives.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Expose your puppies to many things while they are young. Never force them. Keep it positive and a good experience for the puppy. In all your training patience is important. Obtain the help of a professional early in the training. Do not wait until your dog needs behavior modification to correct bad habits.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

Education comes first. A professional must gain the knowledge to understand the behavioral principles taking place in training. A good trainer can teach you and your dog to work together and have a good relationship. A great trainer can make it fun for both of you!
