What a powerful experience on my call with Kim today. Our sweet Bassett Daisy has been diagnosed with lung cancer. We cannot get an appt with Oncologist till the 23rd. Kim having been in the Veterinary care field believes in a balance of both Western medicine as well as holistic and gave me recommendations of supplements, treatments etc. I told her I was a bit hesitant to go the holistic route but open minded.
I know when we do go to the Oncologist they will probably offer treatments that may not be effective and/ or could weaken her which ultimately quality of life would be impacted.
She gave me insight into what’s going on in her mind as well as her bonded sister, our Lab who I fear understands she is ill.
My concern for her going thru the pain of losing our angel has me in the deepest grief and Kim explained how we can help Maggie as well when the time comes.
30 minutes went by faster than I thought.
I will be checking out some reading Kim suggested, and will be setting up future appointments to keep open communication among the girls.
It’s like having an Animal Communicator and Vet and dear friend guiding you thru this journey, which helps by giving me control over something I clearly need guidance even if to give a few more months to my girl.
