Shadow has no ball and socket in either hip due to degeneration. He has been active with just exercise, but getting progressively worse. Yesterday he completely stopped using his left leg and has had to be lifted to even turn around. He stopped eating and is taking minimal water. We cannot get him comfortable with anti-inflammatories or pain meds now. We realize his quality of life is all about running and chasing balls, this now is over. We would like a peaceful, comfortable passing.
