Dr. Mary was incredibly accommodating, kind, and professional. She was the only vet who could come so last minute as Shale deteriorated so quickly. We wanted our dear Shale to pass at home and we couldn’t be more grateful to her for coming on the same day we called. She walked us through the process so we would know what to expect as this was our first time, and helped us memorialize Shale. She treated him with such love and care. This was the most difficult thing we have had to do, but we are so thankful to have had Dr. Mary by our side. - October 2025

When my beloved familiar of 17 years became sick with cancer and it was clear he was ready to cross the rainbow bridge I was devastated. Finding Dr. Mary was such a blessing and comfort at this challenging time. Dr. Mary was compassionate and respectful - somehow allowing me to feel comfortable ugly crying with a stranger in my home. She took the time to learn about my sweet cat Lobster’s life, as well as his current health struggles and to reassure me I was doing a brave and kind thing for him. Dr. Mary was a consummate professional but also a HUMAN about everything. She had considered every detail in a kind and sensitive way. Dr. Mary offered to take paw prints of my dear little one, and now his print is tattooed on my hand and with me forever- just like he is in my heart. I cannot recommend Dr. Mary enough- if your special fur-family member is ready to cross over, it is a deep comfort to be at home together with such a kind guide. To find a light of comfort in such a dark time was unexpected. I believe Dr. Mary has truly found her calling and it is a gift to others. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Dr Mary is wonderful. She cares, she is calm, kind, relaxed and explains every detail. Dr Mary and Honored Hearts is professional and very highly recommended. Dr. Mary she sent a text with her arrival time - she came in quietly and sat on the floor with all of us, looking at our girl, patting and loving her but reassuring us and speaking with us. She gave Ginger love, kindness and dignity. We are heartbroken and the tears still flow without notice but we are also lucky that we had this chance. Lucky we could let our beautiful girl stay in her own home, be with her family and be loved as she passed over. We couldn't have had a better experience with this situation. We are incredibly grateful for Dr. Mary’s care during one of the hardest moments of our lives, as we had to say goodbye to our beloved boy, Bruschi. Her care and compassion allowed us to keep Bruschi comfortable at home, which meant the world to us. We can’t thank her enough for helping us through such an emotional time with such understanding. Dr. Mary Devlin came to our home timely, with empathy, compassion, and kindness. She was clear and communicative; I have never put an animal to sleep in my home (or ever) before. Although it was an awful situation, my entire family confirmed SHE was the one who was supposed to be there. Even my 20 year old son commented over and over how gentle she was with our dog. Dr. Mary, a sincere thank you for all that you did for us and allowing our Bug to transition and run free over the Rainbow Bridge. We sincerely miss our dear Bug, but take comfort in the aftercare, arrangements, fur, and her letting our vet know, etc.
