Terri Gordon Art - Woodinville, WA
Terri Gordon is a native of Washington state and lives in the Pacific Northwest.
Her great-grandparents emigrated from Norway in the early 1900’s, and settled in the undeveloped area of Redmond, Washington. Although Terri grew up in nearby Bellevue, her childhood weekends were spent on her grandparent’s farm – riding her horses and exploring the countryside. She spent hours playing in a Norwegian-inspired barn on the property. This barn, and surrounding outbuildings, became the inspiration for her earliest of works.
Terri began her painting career with oil paints. She enjoyed the vibrant, spirited and rich colors that she obtained with that medium. Since then, she has been able to achieve the same vivid color with both water colors and, more recently, acrylics.
The artist in Terri enjoys the varied landscapes and wildlife and spends many happy hours transferring these images on to canvas for all to enjoy.
Terri continues her art education by attending workshops and has studied with nationally known artists such as Illona Rittler at her School of Fine Arts, Sergei Bongart, Fred Oldfield and Master Painter Ned Mueller. She is also inspired by the likes of Alaskan painters Ted Lambert and Sidney Laurence.
Her works hang in many corporate and private collections throughout the United States and Europe.
