How did you hone your craft?

Began with behavior rehabilitation of my own dog, Goldie. Next I studied with Trish King at the Marin Humane Society. Have attended various APDT conferences over the years and currently am attending the Dog Training Internship Academy in SF, CA. I am always studying and learning more as more science comes in about dog (and people) learning!

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Reinforce, reinforce, reinforce. If you want a certain behavior reinforce it. If you don't want a certain behavior, reinforce somethig else. It really is that simple y'all. :-)

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

In my spare time I am a singer/song writer, and painter. kytha.com I began my dog career as a dog walker in SF in 1999, as a way to supplement my art. It's still that but has become so much more. I love to learn, and I love to watch others (both canine and homo sapien) learn. Fun times!
