Hello, I have several certifications in animal massage with a focus on the Canines; ANMR or Animal Neuro-myofascial Release which employs a release tool to gently guide the muscles into holding the spine correctly, Craniosacral Therapy, Kinesiology Taping and CMFT or Canine Myo-Manipulative Functional Therapy which includes various forms of massage therapy. From acute to chronic conditions, from behavioral such as stress, fear, anxiety and pain motivated responses, to gastrointestinal concerns and mobility issues, hip dysplasia, neurological issues, spinal trauma, arthritis and pain management, bodywork allow for healing and re-balancing of the spirit, mind, and body. Life can be stressful and our pets are affected. I employ various therapies tailored to the individual animal with a focus on Canines. In my spa room, I employ a PEMF crystal healing mat, various Light therapy tools, laser acupuncture, massage, reiki, and acupressure in a calm and centered healing space. As a Reiki Master for those out of the area looking for Reiki energy work, distance sessions are also available and very effective. Certified training through Angelique Barbara, Holistic Animal Studies after my Doberman had spinal trauma and could no longer walk. In addition to twice weekly acupuncture treatments, I was asked to massage him daily. He 100% now!
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Try and breath through emergencies. When our boy suddenly couldn't walk without falling down, lost his bark, couldn't get up into his favourite chair, shook and whined, we were concerned. I got 2nd opinions ranging from putting him to sleep to MRI and surgery. With acupuncture, acupressure and massage therapy, he is 100% now. So breath through it, get second opinions and be patient through the healing process.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I watched a miracle happen with my doberman all through bodywork. From being unable to walk or get up into his chair to full tilt boogie! It took several months of twice weekly sessions and was my inspiration to train and help others rather than go back into Implementation Project Management. When our boy was suffering, I found it challenging to find a dog acupuncturist or anyone that could provide acupressure and massage therapy. I want people to know about these modalities and how effective they are. Every pet parent should know about these alternative healing therapies.
