I’m Hannah, an award-winning pet portraitist. I work in my studio in Brooklyn, NY, and have my MFA from The New York Academy of Art. My portraiture has been recognized by New England Monthly Magazine, The Providence Journal, Vanderbilt Magazine, and most notably, The Westminster Kennel Club. In 2016 I won the Westminster Poster Contest with a painting of a leaping American Staffordshire Terrier.
It’s been my experience—over the past four years—that the best portraits arise through a collaboration with you, the pet owner. I love to hear about your dog’s personality— and if you’re in the NYC area, I’d love to meet up with you and your dog. However, photos and written descriptions are just as good. All my portraits are painted from photographs.

All portraits are made with oil paint on canvas and are typically finished within two-three months. Your commissioned portrait will be executed using an Old Master technique — revealing a pet that is ennobled, distinctive and rich with spirit.
