Wag 'N Wash, Inc. - East Rutherford, NJ
Wag 'N Wash has been serving pets in the NY metro area for over 22 years now. We were the first full-Service grooming salon/DIY pet wash in the Garden State. We operate by appointment only. We believe in quality and personal care vs. Quantity and all day stays. We work on one dog at a time. We do not care nor do we cage dry. We specialize in dogs with special needs as well as senior dogs. We offer an array of holistic services including milk baths, homemade sugar scrubs, organic spa facials and more. We require that any customer who would like to book with us make an appointment for a consult. It gives the groomer time to see the dog, it's behavior and coat condition. It also enables the owner to communicate what they are looking for in a groomer and what they expect. This results in an understanding and no miscommunication. We are an AKC Safety Certified Salon As well as CPR certified. You can feel very comfortable leaving your pet with us. We welcome questions as well as visits to our facility to set your minds at ease. Please note: we are no longer offering Self-Service dog Washing at this time. As our motto says: We provide Everything but Your Furry Friend. TM You can message us on Instagram @groominggal and on Facebook @wagandwash www.wagandwash.com

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Prepare your puppy as soon as you get one. Start brushing and combing and play with their nails. Before their final vaccines, bring them to the salon for a few short visits so they can hear the sounds and become less fearful.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I am a professional; I will tell you the truth. If your pet does not like something or is fearful, I will give you homework to do at home. A stable dog is a happy dog.
