We provide the support and tools to help people cope with and recover from the loss of a beloved pet. Grief is one of our least understood experiences and evokes many responses ranging from sadness, despair, depression, anger, and guilt to anxiety , sleeplessness and social isolation. It truly is a roller coaster of emotion.
Using the Grief Recovery Institute's methodology, we proactively address the many aspects of grieving. Grief is the normal, natural and healthy response to loss. Grief is cumulative and over forty different kinds of loss result in grief - loss of a spouse, financial loss, loss of safety, empty nest, retirement, divorce, loss of trust or of a loved one, loss of a beloved pet; everyone grieves differently; there is no allotted time period associated with grieving. Expressing one's true feelings to an empathetic counselor can be enormously helpful to a griever. Loss is an inevitable part of life - so is grieving over our losses.
