I create custom portraits of your four legged family in charcoal, pastel and oil. I began painting pet portraits in 2001 after the loss of my 14 year old Golden Retriever, Bonnie. My husband suggested painting a portrait of Bonnie would help ease the pain of the loss. And I soon discovered that I was not the only one who considered my pets part of the family. Since then, I've received numerous portrait commissions for dog, cat and horse portraits, many of which have brought their owners to tears after seeing their pets immortalized on paper.
