How did you hone your craft?

While in Pueblo, CO, owner & training director, Jennifer Hime studied under Dog Trainer Paula Mitchell of Animal World in the fields of canine behavior and obedience training beginning in 1990. In addition to operating Front Range K-9 Academy, she has counseled dogs and their owners for Pet Country in Pueblo, Northwest Animal Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO & The Dog House, a Doggy Daycare and Boarding Kennel facility formerly located in Denver, CO. Jennifer has worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments. She believes in focusing on each dog/owner relationship to tailor services that meet the needs of the individual. Finally, Jennifer does more than train dogs for a living; she lives with dogs for her training. She shares her home with the whippets of Horsetooth Whippets, and she bases many of the lessons she teaches in class on the lessons she's learned from her own dogs. Jennifer competes with her dogs in AKC Conformation, Obedience, and Rally-O, and coursing. Clients have travelled from as far away as Nebraska, Wyoming, and Kansas to work with this highly-recommended dog behaviorist & trainer.
