As a lifelong animal welfare advocate, I never have and never will use pain or fear to make a dog behave. It has been proven by decades of scientific research that kindness and respect are essential to successful training.

As a staff member of the San Francisco SPCA Behavior & Training team, I worked extensively with shelter dogs in need of behavior modification. I also specialized in enrichment and welfare, puppy socialization, and taught ongoing classes for staff and volunteers. I further honed my skills at the East Bay SPCA where I taught public dog training classes.

I'm an honors graduate of The Academy for Dog Trainers, where I earned my Certification in Training and Counseling (CTC). The Academy is an advanced two year course of study that is highly regarded as the "Harvard for dog trainers." I have also acquired the following independent certifications:

-Professional Canine Behavior Consultant (Accredited)

-Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge-Assessed

-Separation Anxiety Pro Trainer

-Completed the Aggression in Dogs Master Course

-Member of Pet Professional Guild and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants
