Hudson Valley Animal Wellness - Kerhonkson, NY
HVAW is a 1,500 square foot pet referral rehabilitation practice located in Kerhonkson, NY. Dr.
Eric Hartelius DVM started the practice in December 2015. The state of the art facility is solar powered.
HVAW offers a wide variety of comprehensive services based on the needs of your pet. The staff is
certified in laser therapy and low-stress handling techniques. Our goal is to restore and maintain your
pet’s mobility and health to maximize their quality of life.
Services:
HVAW offers well balanced treatment plans based on the needs of each
pet. Dr. Hartelius completes a full exam of each patient and discusses with the
owner the best options for their pet. We use the stance analyzer to determine
how much weight the patient is bearing on each limb. This helps us quantitatively
monitor the patient’s progress. We also may measure muscle mass girth to also
monitor the progress of a pet recovering from surgery or injury. Our goal is to
strengthen and restore the patient’s health and mobility.
Our services are tailored for a variety of pet’s needs, from the couch potato
to the working dog looking to stay conditioned or maybe just get off the couch.
Our facility allows your pet to get a full workout even on those hot days or snow
days.
